The University of Maryland researchers found a 42% increase in AI job listings following ChatGPT’s public release in late 2022, with many jobs proliferating in the Washington D.C. area. Companies are seeking AI trainers, prompt engineers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists, among other roles. Proficiency in relevant AI tools is increasingly valued.
